'NAMO Italian Pizzeria

Italian have an artisanal way to approach all things, especially culinary art. Pizza is the pinnacle of their culinary standard, being the most famous Italian dish in world. And of all Italian cities, Naples was the ancient birth place of the first pizza in 18th century, evolving from the Greek “flat bread”. In other words, making the best Naples-style pizza takes top artisans’ skills. Few would have expected that here in a tropical country thousands miles away from Italy, ‘NAMO made it possible, thanks to the talented Ivan Barone, their head chef.

Ivan Barone - 'NAMO's Head Chef

Having scored a successful career in 5-star hotels around the world, earned his fame, and had his self-owned restaurants in Tuscany, Ivan unexpectedly fell in love with Saigon. So at the heart of his beloved city, he settled in with ‘NAMO, bringing along a fortune of Italian culinary heritage and the artisanal spirit of Italian pizzerias.

Another Italian signature that ‘NAMO brought to Saigon is the Stefano Ferrara oven, which is 3.5 ton, dome-topped and wood-oven. Installed at the ground floor open kitchen, next to the bar, it allows diners to observe the artful baking process. Made by artisans in Naples, its bricks were forged from the volcanic soil of Mount Vesuvius itself. Fueled with wood, the oven guarantees high temperature and heat stability at 450 degrees, which takes less than a minute to bake the best pizza.

As a result, the pizzas at ‘NAMO feel different. Thick, bubbling, delicately charred crusts infused with the sweet smoke of a wood-oven, soft and airy flour, mixed with premium ingredients that enhance the colorful but balanced flavors, which one can feel all in a single bite. A must-try experience for pizza lovers and seasoned diners, no less.

The marriage between ‘NAMO’s Italian cuisines and sensational Vietnamese cultural performances by Lune Production at the Saigon Opera House promises gastronomy lovers a beautiful journey of tastes, sights, and sounds, which made possible by artisans from Italy and Vietnam. This delightful cross-cultural experience comes in 2 combo options:

Our artisans are delighted to welcome you soon.
